JOHANNESBURG – Another JSE-listed mining company has dumped KPMG as its auditors.
Goldfields says it’s replacing the embattled firm with PwC from the 2019 financial year.
Goldfields insists it hasn’t had any disagreements with KPMG, but wouldn’t give reasons for the change.
KPMG has battled to retain clients since its involvement in various accounting scandals was revealed.
In May, Sibanye-Stillwater also announced its decision to part ways with the firm because of ongoing developments around VBS Mutual Bank.
